Kawasaki Engines are built on the principles of precision, longevity, and performance. Each engine is built with the utmost care and craft. But even though millions of Kawasaki engines are installed in landscaping equipment across the world, not many users know the story behind each engine. Challenging my team and I with changing this perception, they tasked us with creating a digital experience that was both product and promotion. We dove deep into discovery, and realized that the majority of Kawasaki Engines' audience were researching and buying on desktop surfaces. This led my team and I to create an immersive experience optimized for desktop and tablet-sized devices, which allowed us to create detailed interactions at a larger scale. With current and future customers being able to manipulate engines at will, we built a living reference tool that was both informative and satisfying.
